Mounting NTFS on Freebsd

To mounting NTFS on Freebsd you must install fusefs-ntfs first..

find the ports first by using :

[root@blog /home/ridho]# whereis fusefs-ntfs
fusefs-ntfs: /usr/ports/sysutils/fusefs-ntfs

Go to the fusefs-ntfs directory, and install the port

[root@blog /home/ridho]# cd /usr/ports/sysutils/fusefs-ntfs

[root@blog /home/ridho]# make instal clean

Mount the ntfs disk, but check the disk partition first, you can use :

[root@blog /home/ridho]# dmesg

da0: <MAXTOR S TM3160813AS > Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device
da0: 40.000MB/s transfers
da0: 152626MB (312579695 512 byte sectors: 255H 63S/T 19457C)
GEOM: da0: partition 3 does not start on a track boundary.
GEOM: da0: partition 3 does not end on a track boundary.
GEOM: da0: partition 2 does not start on a track boundary.
GEOM: da0: partition 2 does not end on a track boundary.
GEOM: da0: partition 1 does not start on a track boundary.
GEOM: da0: partition 1 does not end on a track boundary.

I found 3 partition on my ntfs hardisk, and i want to mount all partition. first create the directory first , you can use :

[root@blog /home/ridho]# mkdir -p /disk/part1
[root@blog /home/ridho]# mkdir -p /disk/part2
[root@blog /home/ridho]# mkdir -p /disk/part3

[root@blog /home/ridho]# mount_ntfs /dev/da0s1 /disk/part1
[root@blog /home/ridho]# mount_ntfs /dev/da0s2 /disk/part2
[root@blog /home/ridho]# mount_ntfs /dev/da0s3 /disk/part3
